Legendary fashion designer Marc Jacobs, founder of the eponymous label, predicts that the fashion landscape will be permanently transformed once the coronavirus pandemic ends.
The 57-year-old designer believes the industry is headed for significant change, with the exact nature of those shifts depending on how both he and his customers perceive the world following quarantine and self-isolation.
What transformations await the fashion world after COVID-19?
Yet Jacobs insists that creativity will never fade. "What would everyone do during this quarantine if they didn’t have books to read and movies to watch?" he asks.
"I don’t know what I would do if I had nothing to wear every day. It’s just vital to me. It’s as important as anything else… Creativity is absolutely necessary. Creativity will be forever alive," Jacobs shared.
