Many assumed Britney Spears' run in Las Vegas had come to an end when Planet Hollywood hinted at a farewell show, but it turns out she has inked a fresh deal with the Monte Carlo Resort just across the street. This marks a major move for the pop star, as her only other Sin City option would have been the Bunny Ranch. Las Vegas is often where celebrity fame fades into obscurity. The undead A-lister Spears' career isn't experiencing a comeback anytime soon. The sellout shows were thanks to promoters outside casinos asking passersby, "What are you doing tonight?" Tourists end up guilted into attending a Spears performance or sitting through a timeshare presentation—neither of which is ideal.
More performances mean more millions for Britney to spend on massages. After all these years, she's earned it. She should be fine as long as she avoids Massage Envy—unless she wants to be recruited into the #MeToo movement. Only then could she score a better deal than her Monte Carlo contract without lifting a finger. Every woman deserves lucrative lawsuits and their own late-night TV show when they never explicitly agreed to an unexpected happy ending.
