The Capital One Venture X Business Credit Card is a travel rewards card from Capital One. Its $395 annual fee is notably lower than other premium business cards. In my opinion, the value you can extract easily surpasses that fee. Here's a summary of the key benefits:

- 2 miles per $1 on all purchases, with no category restrictions

Using Your Capital One Miles
Capital One miles can be redeemed in several ways. One option is booking travel directly through Capital One's portal. While I generally avoid booking via credit card portals, to fully benefit from the Venture X's travel credit and the 5x/10x mile offers, you'll need to use their portal.
Another method is using miles to reimburse yourself for any travel purchase. Within 90 days of making such a purchase, you can get reimbursed at a rate of one cent per mile. After 90 days, and for all other purchases, miles can be used as cash back at 0.5 cents per mile (though I'd steer clear of this as it offers poor value).
You can also redeem miles through the Capital One Entertainment portal for concert, sports, and event tickets. Occasionally, Capital One offers cardholder-only events and presale opportunities. While tickets yield only 0.8 cents per mile (not the best value), it's still a fun and unique way to use your miles.
However, the best value comes from transferring miles to Capital One's 15+ airline and hotel partners. The actual value varies depending on what you book, but you can often find redemptions worth far more than the one cent per mile mentioned above. The process is straightforward and can be done through your Capital One account.

Pros of the Venture X Business Card
As someone who travels frequently for work, I'm always seeking ways to accelerate mile earnings and make airport experiences less stressful. I like this card for its simple 2x miles on everything. I use many other cards that offer 3x or 4x on specific categories like advertising or non-portal travel spending (flights and hotels). But for dining, museums, transportation, and other expenses, few business cards provide more than 2x per dollar. So I use the Venture X for any purchase where I can't get better than 2x per dollar.
Here's a deeper look at some of the main perks:
$300 Travel Credit Each year, you receive a $300 credit toward bookings made through Capital One Business Travel (flights, hotels, or car rentals). If you travel regularly, this credit is essentially free money — and it immediately reduces your effective annual fee from $395 to $95.
The catch? You must book through Capital One's travel portal, which is powered by Hopper. The interface is clean, and prices are usually competitive. I've found some good deals there.
Lounge Access You gain entry to Capital One Lounges and Priority Pass lounges. Capital One's own lounges are excellent — spacious, modern, with good food — though they're still limited in number. However, they're expanding, and I personally think they surpass lounges from competing banks. You also get Priority Pass access to over 1,300 lounges globally, a common but valuable perk.
Anniversary Bonus Every year on your account anniversary, you'll receive 10,000 bonus miles (worth about $100 toward travel). It's a nice 'thank you' that further offsets the annual fee.
Should You Get This Card?
The Capital One Venture X Business Credit Card is ideal for small- to medium-sized business owners who travel regularly and can spend at least $30,000 to meet the welcome offer requirements.
Overall, I believe the Capital One Venture X Business is one of the best-value premium business cards available today. It may not be as benefit-packed or flashy as The Business Platinum Card® from American Express or the Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business, but it's easier to use, has a lower annual fee, provides lounge access, and features a straightforward earning structure.
It's one of the cards I use most frequently for my business. I highly recommend getting it.
