A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to find a gorgeous package waiting for me, sent by the amazing beauty crew at Chanel—cue the squeals! I’m a total Chanel devotee, so every time they send me something, no matter the size, my excitement goes through the roof. There’s just something about wearing a product from Chanel—whether it’s a swipe of red nail polish or a dusting of bronzer—that makes me feel incredibly special and glamorous. Am I the only one who feels this way?
Chanel kindly gifted me some treats from their stunning new 2017 ‘Numéros Rouges’ collection, which launched earlier this month and features four reinvented lipsticks housed in red lacquered tubes. I also received a handful of gorgeous, limited-edition makeup items that I’m absolutely itching to try. Many of my go-to beauty staples are Chanel classics I’ve relied on for years, so I’m always over the moon when I get to test their newest releases.
The product I’m probably most pumped about is the limited-edition ‘Trait De Caractère’ eyeshadow palette—how stunning is it?! Although I usually stick to my everyday neutral shadows, the deep purple and the shimmering green are so incredibly beautiful that I feel tempted to step outside my comfort zone and try something different. I already own a couple of Chanel Les 4 Ombres palettes, and they always make me want to get a little adventurous with color. Chanel has a knack for making even bolder shades feel wearable and less intimidating—probably because they’re just so gorgeous! This palette will definitely be my go-to for festive events this season.
Sticking with the green theme, Chanel also sent me one of their waterproof long-lasting eyeliners in the shade ‘Legendary Green,’ and I’m obsessed. Lately, I’ve been loving creating a soft wing using a kohl pencil, so I’m really excited to achieve a similar effect with this beautiful green liner. I’d probably pair it with one of the shades from the ‘Ombre Premiere’ eyeshadow line for a sultry look—the one in the picture is ‘Silver Screen’! Love this combination.
It wouldn’t be a Chanel post without me taking a moment to rave about my beloved Le Vernis nail polishes, right? I usually get gel manicures quite often—it’s one of my favorite self-care rituals—but when I don’t have time to book an appointment, I almost always reach for a beautiful Chanel Le Vernis polish instead. They’re super glossy, wonderfully long-lasting, and always come in the most stunning shades. This time, I received a vibrant neon color called ‘Scenario’ alongside an almost-black shade named ‘Celebrity.’ I don’t normally wear black on my nails, but I think this one could look incredibly glam. What do you think?
Now for the stars of the show—the lipsticks! This new collection includes four lipstick shades, and I was thrilled to get my hands on three of them. I received ‘No 1,’ a classic red; ‘No 2,’ a raspberry red; and ‘No 4’ (my favorite), an orange-toned red. You might have noticed that I don’t often wear red lipstick, but these Chanel formulas are definitely an exception. Nothing feels more glam than a classic red Chanel lip, right?
You may have heard me talk about the Chanel Rouge Coco Glosses on my blog before—I’m obsessed with the shade Douceur—so when I spotted a new color in the box, I got way too excited. Chanel kindly sent me the limited-edition shade ‘Romance,’ which is absolutely gorgeous. It’s slightly darker than what I’d usually pick, but if there’s ever a time to rock a vampy lip, it’s now! If you’re not yet a gloss convert, don’t worry—the Rouge Coco glosses feel completely comfortable on the lips and are actually quite moisturizing. I’ll definitely be popping this beauty into my handbag next time I get a Christmas party invitation. Loving this shade!
