Ed Harrington, a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, is a graphic designer who has spent the last two decades revealing the concealed side of beloved film and television personalities through a wildly inventive, witty, and original approach.
This artist never set out to build a full-blown series on his Instagram page, Nothing Happen Today, which presents these figures in ordinary everyday scenarios. Instead, he simply reflected on films and animated shows he adored and that hold a place in pop culture, adding a humorous twist to each one:
My goal was simply to sketch things I enjoy and that strike me as amusing. Most of the time, I consider how existence might shift or grow complicated for these personalities. Sometimes I enjoy pondering aspects of a figure we never witness and what might have stayed concealed over the years.
