Goldwell Kerasilk Hair Perfume
A major drawback of brands sold primarily through salons is the near impossibility of an online impulse purchase. I enjoy a good hair scent, but my preference leans toward a lighter version of a fragrance I already wear—say, Chanel. Getting genuinely excited about a hair-brand perfume is tough when you can just dab on a bit of No.5 instead. Still, this mist, with its floral, fabric-softener-like aroma, does something rather charming: it revives that fresh-from-the-shower smell your hair naturally has right after washing. It genuinely leaves your hair with that just-washed vibe, and the scent seems to deepen over the first hour or so. That said, it won’t ever truly replace a proper wash, so I’d call it a day-two or day-three refresher—after that, you’re back to the shower.
Four different scents are available, and this one, Repower, is the newest addition. They aren’t what you’d call ‘fine’ fragrances, but they don’t come across as cheap or cheerful either. It’s a finishing touch, I suppose, for people who enjoy fussing over their hair—which definitely isn’t me. I did notice the brand mentions these are created by ‘artistic perfumers,’ which struck me as an odd phrasing… as opposed to what? They retail at £22.50 each, wherever you can track them down.
