Google Assistant Go extends voice capabilities to Android phones with limited RAM

Google has launched Assistant Go for Android (Go Edition) smartphones equipped with limited memory.

The streamlined assistant handles phone calls, messaging, music playback, and navigation purely through voice input, without taxing device resources.

Because the trimmed-down build uses less storage and RAM, it ships without a keyboard and cannot create reminders or operate smart home appliances. Google indicates that select capabilities will arrive in later versions.

Language support covers English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, and Thai.
