The well-known actress, who contracted the coronavirus, has now addressed the most pressing questions about her illness, her health, and her small child. In mid-March, numerous outlets reported that Olga Kurylenko—widely recognized as a “James Bond Girl”—had tested positive for the virus. Shortly after, Kurylenko herself confirmed that she had recovered. Now, she has chosen to respond to the most frequently asked questions regarding her experience.
Unsurprisingly, many are curious about exactly where Kurylenko picked up the infection. Yet she has no answer for that. “I have no idea how or where. The virus didn't tip me off. It could have been anywhere,” she confessed.
Kurylenko said she simply began to feel unwell, so she took a test at a London hospital, which came back positive. Even so, doctors did not admit her. And that wasn't due to negligence. “They determined that my case wasn't severe, and nobody 'refused' to hospitalize me—I simply didn't require it.”
Throughout her sickness, Kurylenko only used paracetamol to bring down her fever and ease aches. No antibiotics—because they're ineffective against viruses. “I took no other medication.”
Her four-year-old son stayed with her throughout the illness
During her quarantine, Kurylenko was accompanied by her young son, 4-year-old Alexander Max Horatio. “I consulted with hospital staff about this, and they advised me to keep him with me. The concern was that he might already be carrying the virus, meaning he could spread it to others. So they instructed me not to let anyone else near him except me.”
Kurylenko has now fully recovered.
Wishing you good health!
