Discover Whether You Were Designed for a Greater Mission on This Earth…

by Jordanna Eyre Purpose Fairy

"You are here to enable the divine purpose of the universe to unfold. That is how important you are!" ~ Eckhart Tolle

From a very tender age, I carried an unshakable feeling that remarkable things were waiting for me. I truly mean that. As a little girl, my very first career aspiration was to become the Easter Bunny. And I'm Jewish. So yes, go ahead and laugh — but here's what I believe was really simmering underneath that whimsical dream: even as a child, I understood that societal expectations, the endless list of "shoulds," and rigid rules held no real power over me. I could become anyone I chose and do whatever my heart desired.

Naturally, obstacles appeared along the way. Perhaps they were simply the gentle speedbumps of ordinary existence. I kept stretching toward bigger horizons, yet fear, self-doubt, difficult circumstances, and skeptics kept crossing my path. Fortunately, I never surrendered my belief. Deep down, I always recognized that it was possible to expand into the full scope of my dreams and grow as vast as I desired. It required patience to harmonize my outer beliefs with that inner certainty so I could truly embody what I already knew — and every bit of effort has paid off.

And I am certainly not the only one. This gorgeous planet is absolutely teeming with individuals eager to leave a mark — people who sense they can accomplish absolutely anything. Some are out there fully living that reality, others find themselves caught in a familiar two-steps-forward-one-step-back shuffle (a little thing called self-sabotage — something I'm intimately familiar with), while still others are just starting to awaken to the recognition that this potential has been living inside them all along and that it's finally time to act on it. Regardless of where you find yourself on that spectrum, there's no need for alarm. More often than not, the very obstacles we assume are blocking us are actually clearing the path forward!

So, to demonstrate this, I've gathered eight indicators that suggest you were likely designed for something far greater — and that you're absolutely going to arrive there.

1. Working under someone else's direction feels unbearable. Leadership is baked into your DNA, whether you've consciously acknowledged it or not. Either way, you simply cannot tolerate tasks that fail to spark meaningful transformation. Clocking in for someone else feels suffocating. You crave autonomy, adaptability, imaginative freedom, and expansion — qualities you recognize cannot be fully realized within someone else's framework. Your vision carries genuine worth, and unleashing every single one of your gifts is the only path to genuine fulfillment.

2. You delay action until genuine inspiration strikes. You probably label yourself a procrastinator. Self-defeating postponement certainly exists, but if you were designed for something greater (and if you're still reading this, I have a hunch you were), there will equally be moments when you convince yourself a task must be completed because that seems like the logical route from point A to point B. Yet what if you genuinely flourish when fueled by inspiration rather than obligation? You deserve the freedom to assess which applies in any given moment. Is fear preventing you from tackling your checklist? Or is the absence of inspiration the real culprit? If it's the latter, have faith that following what genuinely excites you is directing you exactly where you need to be. Frequently, that creative impulse understands possibilities better than our conscious mind does.

3. As a child, you regarded suit-wearing commuters as completely unhinged. Somewhere deep inside, you always sensed life offered far more than a generic, cautious, conventional existence. You recognized that your unique path could generate greater impact on the world, and that your approach would naturally incorporate more freedom and adaptability than those buttoned-up grown-ups seemed to possess. Today, regardless of whether you've fully manifested that yet, you recognize the childhood intuition was spot-on. You've experienced firsthand what it feels like to operate with equal purpose in flip-flops as you have in business attire.

4. You're so passionate about your work you'd happily do it without compensation. Here's the beautiful paradox — you absolutely deserve to recognize your own worth, and the moment you begin charging what fully reflects the value you deliver to the world, the greater the transformation your clients will actually experience. Nevertheless, you recognize you're aligned with your purpose and designed for significant impact when your passion runs so deep that money becomes a distant afterthought while you're immersed in the work.

5. You embrace an idealistic worldview. You envision the world at its highest potential and will pursue nothing less. Growing up, the term "idealist" followed me constantly. Initially, I interpreted it as praise. I'd respond, "absolutely, a world filled with that much love and wonder is entirely achievable." Then, as I moved into my early adult years, the label began to sting, as though critics were implying my aspirations were unrealistic — that the world simply wasn't intended to be the magnificent place I knew it could become. These days, I couldn't care less about others' opinions or terminology. My name is Jordanna, and I proudly identify as an idealist. By inhabiting the realm of my own vision and creations, my personal universe frequently materializes as "idealistic" as I trust the entire planet can eventually become. So honestly, who cares about objective truth versus fantasy if I'm enjoying myself and uplifting others along the way? Idealism isn't madness — it's the hallmark of a creator.

6. You often can't articulate how you know what you know, yet somehow you simply "know." Visionaries rarely draw their blueprints from external circumstances or from what society tells them to build. Their visions emerge from an internal compulsion to manifest what resonates as authentic. That profound "knowing" of what demands creation pairs naturally with intuition about countless other matters. Whether you label it intuition, gut instinct, or a sixth sense — if you were designed for something greater in this lifetime, that inner voice will continue insisting on being heard and articulating its desires. Ultimately, producing significant work isn't optional when it's your calling. At minimum, that's what I believe your sixth sense would confirm.

7. You experience emotions with extraordinary intensity. The majority of clients I partner with who were designed for substantial contributions to the world tend to experience life on a deeply emotional level. You may never have been taught that feeling deeply is acceptable. In fact, you might have absorbed the message that your emotions would somehow sabotage your potential. Well, let's reconsider that narrative. Sometimes our emotions are our most authentic TRUTH. Your capacity to expand and contribute meaningfully to the world hinges on that authenticity. So permit your feelings to emerge and steer you toward where you belong. Your creative output depends on it.

8. Having an overflow of ideas troubles you far more than having none at all. Inspiration strikes you readily. In fact, the more extraordinary your life becomes, the more creatively charged you become as well. Yet this can occasionally present a puzzle. You recognize you were designed to generate significant work, but without discipline, you risk becoming paralyzed by the sheer volume of what you want to create, never actually completing anything. Don't let this discourage you. Feel grateful that your mind overflows with brilliant concepts. If you're uncertain where to begin or what deserves your attention, seek out guidance. Just don't allow the abundance of visions within your overarching vision to become an obstacle.

"Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them." ~ William Shakespeare

And here's the crucial nuance — I genuinely believe every one of us was designed for significant things if we grant ourselves permission to listen to the whisperings of our soul. Once we release the notion of "perfect timing" and accept that "too late" simply doesn't exist, it becomes far easier to transform that gentle stirring into an extraordinary rising. I've guided thirteen-year-olds and individuals in their seventies toward actualizing their visions. If they can accomplish it, so can you.
