Last week, I fell into an Instagram rabbit hole more than once (no judgment, please!), and I kept noticing the same beauty products popping up everywhere. That made me wonder: are these trendy items genuinely effective, or do they only look good in photos? So, the CINCteam and I decided to try out several of them a couple of weeks ago. Keep scrolling to discover which cool-girl products passed the test and earned a permanent spot in our routines.
Body Care
Anese Booty Scrub
I’m a fan of body scrubs, but this one designed specifically for your rear is incredible. Its grainy texture isn’t too abrasive, and it leaves my backside feeling wonderfully smooth. Plus, it’s made with natural ingredients.
Anese Booty Mask
You might recognize this from my Best Booty 2018 post! It firms up the skin, gives a subtle plumpness, and best of all—it’s pink! We love a hardworking butt mask that rewards our behind for all those squats.
Herbivore Body Oil
Body oils don’t get enough credit. They make your skin feel amazing and work best when applied right after a shower—especially post-shave. This one is nice and non-greasy. We like mixing a bit into our lotion after bathing so it sinks into damp skin.
Makeup
Lidstar
First off, this eyeshadow is stunning. If you want something very sheer yet buildable for a hint of color, these Glossier shadows are perfect.
Boy Brow
The classic. I use it in black, but if you have thicker brows and just want to shape them, go for clear. Hannah even keeps one in her purse for midday touch-ups. You can’t go wrong with this product.
Cloud Paint
The ideal summer blush! It applies effortlessly and is super pigmented (so a little goes a long way). I dab it on with my ring finger and blend, then use whatever remains on my fingers for my lips.
Hair
Gisou Hair Oil
As you know, my hair is quite coarse, so a good hair oil is essential. This one from Gisou smells incredible and gives my hair a beautiful, healthy shine.
Anti-Frizz Sheets
Frizzy hair is the absolute worst. If you’re planning a tropical trip this summer, you’ll need all the help you can get. These little sheets tame flyaways in seconds—stash them in your wallet, car, beach bag, anywhere. We love that they’re flat and take up zero space. Thank you, Jen Atkin, for saving us frizzy-haired girls everywhere!
Skin
Glossier Solution
Hannah swears by this! If you break out or have congested skin, just a bit on a cotton ball right after your shower clears up your complexion completely.
Milk Charcoal
Charcoal is a total cool-girl ingredient, and this product actually works. It might seem odd, but charcoal absorbs toxins and helps purify the skin. This cleanser also contains vitamin E, is vegan, and smells amazing.
Jet Lag Mask
My friend Mariana Hewitt created her Jet Lag mask for Summer Fridays, and I never knew I could love a product this much. It’s deeply hydrating and instantly revives my skin.
Linda Rodin Oil
You’ve probably seen me mention this product in recent posts, and I truly adore it. It feels luxurious, hydrates my skin, and leaves it baby-soft. It’s an indulgence, but absolutely worth it. This oil is my ultimate goal.
Lip Polish
This lip polish always stays on my bathroom counter. A quick scrub a few times a week keeps my lips super soft, removes dead skin, and maintains a plump look. Plus, it’s all natural and smells like roses.
