Giorgio Armani Intense Matte & Comfort Lipstick
If you're a lipstick enthusiast, you might want to look away now—these will hit your wallet hard, costing a full £30 each. The only consolation I can offer is that, as of this writing, John Lewis has a 10% price match, bringing them down to £27. With matte finishes now everywhere, the real competition between brands isn't about the texture anymore—it's about how comfortable they feel. And while I'm not usually a fan of mattes, I have to admit the comfort here is impressive.

I should mention that I think my lighting is making the shades appear slightly lighter than they actually are. In terms of how they feel on the lips, these aren't the lightweight, silky textures we've seen a lot of recently. Instead, they're substantial lipsticks that feel creamy and noticeable on the lips. The pigmentation is stunningly intense, so just one swipe of the bullet gives you full, complete coverage. They're also remarkably low on fragrance—I can't detect any scent at all. The shades pictured are 403 (Lucky Red), 102 (Androgino), 201 (Nightberry), and 502 (Kimono).

The swatches are shown in the same order as listed above. These lipsticks truly feel like a treat (and at this price, they should), and the longevity is good. So perhaps, when you consider cost per wear—I've read somewhere that the average lipstick is used about 293 times—the price doesn't sting quite as much. You can find them HERE.
