A skincare regimen is all about consistency. I've perfected mine to the point where I can go through the motions even when I'm barely awake!
Over the past few years, my routine has changed quite a bit, but a handful of core practices remain unchanged—and I've added a few new ones too. Keep scrolling to find 10 simple steps worth weaving into your daily routine!
1. Double Cleansing
For years, I have relied on double cleansing. In my experience, it's the most reliable method to remove every trace of makeup. I begin with an oil or balm cleanser, then follow up with a foaming face wash. It may feel excessive, but try it once and you'll be astonished by the residue it lifts from your skin. Thank me later!
2. Clay Mask
I apply a clay mask once or twice a week. Since my skin leans slightly oily and combination, this step is crucial for keeping sebum production in check. I'm particularly fond of the Charlotte Tilbury clay mask—it's much lighter than most I've tried and rinses off easily, meaning minimal cleanup.

3. Over Night Mask
To give my skin an extra hydration boost, I use an overnight mask at least twice a week. I also swear by them during long-haul flights! They deliver the moisture your skin craves when you're feeling dehydrated. I love the Sulwhasoo Overnight Mask and the Amore Pacific Moisturizer, which doubles as a sleeping mask.
4. Mild Peel / Glycolic Mask
I stopped using peels and glycolic masks while pregnant and breastfeeding, but I'm eager to resume them. Peels are a bit more intense for the skin, but they always leave it looking brighter than before. I adore the Drunk Elephant Baby Facial—it stings slightly at first, but the sensation fades quickly. I used to do a peel like this at least once a week.
5. Face Scrub
A quality scrub can work wonders for your complexion. It effectively removes dead skin buildup and leaves your face feeling incredibly smooth. I've been using the Summer Fridays Overtime Mask, which works as a gentle scrub or can be layered on as a mask. The scrub is very mild on the skin, and I'm obsessed with its scent! I was even able to use it throughout my pregnancy, which was fantastic.
6. Oil
I always tell people that if you don't have time for a full 10-step routine, at least cleanse and add an oil. Oils are incredibly nourishing and moisturizing for the skin. Not a day goes by without a face oil in my regimen. I'm currently loving the Vintner's Daughter Oil, which you might remember me mentioning in this post here!
7. Rolling
Face rollers have become a skincare staple for me. There are many options, but no matter which you choose, they're excellent for waking up your face and reducing puffiness. I'm currently using one from my favorite esthetician, Joanna Czech!
8. Scalp Brush
This scalp brush is a new addition to my routine—I recently discovered it, and you might recall me talking about it in this post here! It has already made a big difference in my hair. I now brush my hair in the shower using this specific brush; it gives my scalp a gentle massage while helping remove excess oil. It feels absolutely amazing. Another great way to pamper your hair is with a hair mask—this one is what I'm using right now, and it's especially great for those with dry or frizzy hair.

9. Body Scrub
Just like the skin on your face, your body can accumulate dead skin cells and start to look dull, especially during winter when dryness is more common. So every few weeks, I give my entire body a thorough scrub. Of course, a scrub at a Korean spa is a whole different experience, but using an at-home scrub like this one by Frank Body is fantastic. Did I mention it's under $10?
10. Take Your Vitamins
As funny as it sounds, vitamins are an integral part of my skincare routine. It's all about caring for your skin from the inside out! Of course, it's wise to check with your doctor before starting any supplements—especially if you're breastfeeding or pregnant. To see my favorite beauty supplements, check out this post here!
