Hats often don't get the credit they deserve. They're a fantastic accessory, shield your eyes from the sun, and prevent your forehead from tanning a different shade than the rest of your face. What's not to adore? Summer is the ideal season to bring out your most stylish straw hats. I usually stick to one favorite style each summer, but this year I've been switching between several. The Statement Hat
Isn't this hat amazing? It may not be the most practical option, but it looks incredibly stylish! I actually borrowed it from Hannah (you might have spotted it in her recent post). It looks fantastic when worn and is basically designed for the beach… Amalfi Coast, anyone?
The Visor
When you think of visors, you probably picture a tourist with a map and dad sneakers… right? Well, that's outdated! I found this visor and I'm completely obsessed. It's like a wide-brim hat and a visor had a super chic offspring. This one is especially great for travel because you don't have to stress about it getting crushed!
The Classic
You can never go wrong with a timeless flat-top straw hat. This one is super sleek and minimal. If it seems too plain, I'd tie a pretty printed scarf around it or even a sparkly brooch if you're feeling fancy. If you look in the mirror this summer and feel something is missing—I guarantee it's probably a hat! ALSO—I often get questions about hat sizing. I have a fairly big head, so I usually go with a size medium!
