There was an undeniable magic in the air at Music's Biggest Night for Bruno Mars. The 24K Magic artist walked away with six Grammys in total, more than any other performer this year.
His achievement was even more remarkable because it included the evening's top honors—Record of the Year ("24K Magic"), Song of the Year ("That's What I Like"), and Album of the Year (24K Magic). He also claimed Best R&B Performance ("That's What I Like") and Best R&B Album (24K Magic).
While accepting Album of the Year at the close of the ceremony, Mars reflected on his musical journey. He recalled singing songs penned by legends like Babyface, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, and Teddy Riley during his youth. “I'd like to dedicate this award to them,” he stated. “They are my heroes. They are my teachers. They laid the foundation. This album wouldn't exist if it wasn't for these guys…and you know I had to sprinkle a little Mars sauce on it.”
Furthermore, 24K Magic won Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, though that trophy did not go to Bruno. Instead, it was awarded to Serban Ghenea, John Hanes, Charles Moniz, and Tom Coyne.

The night was not solely about awards for Mars, who also brought out Cardi B for a '90s-themed rendition of "Finesse."
Another major winner was Kendrick Lamar, who collected five awards, including Best Music Video ("HUMBLE."), Best Rap Performance ("HUMBLE."), Best Rap Song ("HUMBLE."), Best Rap Album (DAMN.), and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration ("LOYALTY." featuring Rihanna).
Two of the evening's biggest omissions were JAY-Z and SZA. Hov led all nominees with eight nods, while the TDE singer was the top female contender with five, yet both left empty-handed in every category they were nominated for.
