Hello everyone! Today, I’m excited to share my go-to winter skincare products. During the colder months, my skin tends to become extremely dehydrated, so I’ve added a few new items to my regimen to keep it well-nourished and hydrated. I hope some of these suggestions prove useful for you.
Right now, I’m alternating between two serums. The Clarins Double Serum is a fantastic choice for winter thanks to its oil-water hybrid formula. It features two serums housed side by side that dispense together from a single pump. This anti-aging product is rich in turmeric, which helps address uneven skin tone, fine lines, and wrinkles. My skin feels instantly softer and smoother after using it. I switch things up with the Forest Essentials Soundarya Advanced Serum, which has a slightly oilier texture than the Clarins one. It boasts a lovely fragrance and is said to contain real gold bhasma for age-control benefits. I’d suggest this for dry and mature skin types, and I only reach for it when my skin feels particularly parched.
A brand I’ve recently discovered is Dr. Sheth’s, an Indian dermatologist line formulated specifically for Indian skin and conditions. I’m currently using four of their products in my routine. The Basic Brightening Daily Cleanser (Rs 375 | buy here) is a gentle gel-based cleanser with rosehip seed extracts, almond oil, coconut oil-based cleansing agents, and Vitamin E. Their Basic Brightening Extra Gentle Daily Peel (Rs 850 | buy here) provides mild exfoliation for daily use. It contains 5% Glycolic Acid (for immediate exfoliation), 5% Lactic Acid (for long-term exfoliation), glycerin, pomegranate extracts, lecithin, oat sugars, grapefruit extracts, and calendula. I didn’t feel any tingling or discomfort when applying it, and its lotion-like texture feels soothing on the skin.
The Basic Brightening Daily Sunscreen (Rs 1899 | buy here) has become a staple in my routine. It’s non-greasy, leaves no white cast, spreads and blends effortlessly, and feels mildly moisturizing yet lightweight. What’s not to love? This mineral sunscreen relies on titanium and zinc oxide for sun protection, plus lecithin for hydration and sunflower and licorice extracts for brightening.
When it comes to moisturizers, I’m a big fan of the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief gel-creme. It has the lightest consistency of any moisturizer I’ve tried, yet it delivers incredibly deep hydration. It provides pure moisture to the skin, making it perfect for dehydrated winter skin!
Dr. Sheth’s Ultimate Brightening Youth Enhancer (Rs 2250 | buy here) is the only cream on the market with over 15 active ingredients! It’s a powerful blend of kojic acid, vitamins A, C, and E, niacinamide, wheat sugars, hyaluronic acid, avocado oil, and glow milliglowbules. These work together to brighten uneven skin, firm and tighten prematurely aging skin, and address dryness. This is a night cream, and I noticed a difference in my skin from the very first use! If I had to recommend just one product from Dr. Sheth’s, this would be it!
In addition to these, I’ve also been enjoying Bio Oil for my body and Neutrogena Hand Cream for my hands. The latter is excellent for very dry or chapped hands, providing instant relief from extreme dryness.
So, those are my current winter skincare favorites! Have you tried any of these products?
