Question of the Week: Which perfume are you currently obsessed with? That's a simple one for me—I typically only enjoy new fragrances for a brief period before they start to annoy me. With a super-sensitive nose, I'm extremely particular about smells.
I've been loyal to one cruelty-free perfume since last summer (Sun) and recently discovered another favorite (Tarot Garden). I previously wrote about Lush's Sun perfume (a fantastic citrus blend), and it's remarkable that I'm nearly out of the bottle. I rarely wear perfume daily and grow tired of scents very quickly. So the fact that I'm ready to purchase a new bottle speaks volumes. I don't think I've ever repurchased a full-size perfume before. You can find this vegan fragrance at any Lush store or online.
The second scent comes from my friend Kedra at Opus Oils. She gifted me a bottle before the holidays while we spent time at her beautiful Hollywood shop. This is an intensely rich floral blend. I'm not usually a fan of florals, but this one is incredibly seductive. It combines rose, patchouli, and incense-like notes that I adore. As Kedra describes: "Key notes include Narcissus Absolute, Pink Lotus Absolute, Moroccan Rose Absolute, Wild Lily, Opium Poppy Accord, Labdanum, Vintage Patchouli, Frankincense Oman, Myrrh CO2, Orris Root, Dragons Blood, and Benzoin." While Sun is a light everyday scent, Tarot Garden is a sultry evening fragrance—ideal for date night! It's available exclusively through Fairie Magazine.
