Lyst Reveals the Most-Searched Fashion Brands on Instagram This Year

Lyst, the global fashion search engine, has published its annual ranking of the top 10 brands that drove the highest search interest on Instagram.

Lyst Reveals the Most-Searched Fashion Brands on Instagram This Year

Lyst, a worldwide fashion search platform, has unveiled its “most wanted brands” list for the year, highlighting and ordering the labels that captured the most attention on Instagram. The platform recognizes Instagram’s growing influence as a fashion powerhouse, setting trends and driving sales throughout 2018. Lyst tracked search demand spikes that coincided with Instagram mentions and brand tags over the past twelve months. Below are the ten fashion brands that generated the highest search volume on Instagram.

  1. Veja

Veja, an eco-friendly label committed to creating the most sustainable sneaker, caught the eye of Meghan Markle—and subsequently the entire world. After the Duchess wore Veja Esplar Leather Sneakers while watching a sailing event with Prince Harry in Australia, the brand became a streetwear essential. Instagram searches for Veja jumped 113% compared to the prior year.

  1. Reformation

It comes as no surprise that Meghan is a fan of Reformation, an ethical fashion brand adored by celebrities. During her Australian tour, she appeared in the brand’s airy linen Pineapple Dress, which sold out almost overnight. As summer approaches, Reformation has restocked the Pineapple Dress—and it’s almost certain to vanish quickly again.

The sustainable label Reformation is a favorite among influencers; its Thelma dress ranked among the top 10 most-viewed dresses on Instagram in 2018.

  1. Attico

Endorsements from influential figures like Kylie Jenner turned the Instagram spotlight onto Attico. Kylie showcased her latest look in the brand’s oversized pink flamingo-style feather dress. In a recent photoshoot, the 21-year-old paired the Attico dress with strappy black heels and a belt around her waist. “Felt like a flamingo in this dress,” she wrote in the Instagram caption.

  1. Realisation Par

Affordable American label Realisation Par has a talent for creating pieces that achieve cult status. Global influencers fell for The Naomi, a silk leopard-print slip skirt. Their Alexandra dress has been spotted on everyone from Margot Robbie to Emily Ratajkowski, and the Christy dress has dominated Instagram feeds throughout the year.

  1. Ganni

A legion of #GanniGirl influencers has propelled the Copenhagen-based fashion brand to international fame. Global searches for Ganni are up 52% year over year.

  1. Staud

After the brand’s Moreau macramé leather bucket bag saw a surge in interest following February fashion week, the Shirley bag sold out for the entire summer.

  1. Nanuska

This sustainable label’s denim dresses and jumpsuits have won over both customers and influencers.

  1. Faithfull the Brand

Searches for Faithfull the Brand have risen 12% year on year. The label, worn by Vanessa Hudgens, Lucy Williams, Carmen Grace Hamilton, and Candice Swanepoel, is a go-to for celebrities who love to travel.

  1. Rouje

From July to September last year, the brand’s Gabin dress generated over 9,000 searches per week.

  1. Stine Goya

Demand for this Copenhagen-based label continues to grow.
