Five Pounds Well Spent: Trying Out I Heart Make Up's Dragon's Heart Highlighter

Picked this little treasure up at Superdrug and five pounds has rarely delivered more, thanks to peachy-gold tones that double up beautifully as blush or shadow.

Five Pounds Well Spent: Trying Out I Heart Make Up's Dragon's Heart Highlighter

First Impressions of the Dragon's Heart Highlighter from I Heart Make Up

Honestly, I'd call every single penny of this fiver brilliantly spent, whether you're measuring it by how it wears on the skin or simply by how gorgeous it looks tucked into a makeup bag. This is precisely the sort of thing that appeals to me, less because I'm chasing a lit-from-within halo and more because the peachy-gold blend works an absolute treat against my complexion.

Getting Creative with I Heart Make Up's Dragon's Heart Highlighter

It does carry a luminous quality, no question, but you can also reach for the slightly more muted stripes within the palette to sweep across the cheeks as a wash of colour, and the gold band doubles nicely as eyeshadow too. I'm singling out the gold because it melts into the skin the most beautifully (particularly across the lids), while the rest of the shades lean a touch more 'baked' in finish, though honestly the possibilities feel pretty much endless.

Stumbled Upon: I Heart Make Up's Dragon's Heart Highlighter at Superdrug

This is far from a brand new release, I simply noticed it tucked away on a Superdrug shelf the other day and couldn't resist tossing one into my basket! It wasn't even anywhere near Valentine's Day!

Wrapping Up My Thoughts on I Heart Make Up's Dragon's Heart Highlighter

There's chatter suggesting the entire brand is heading for a complete rebrand, so I've genuinely no clue what will make the cut and what won't. Either way, they're still out there for the time being, and parting with five pounds on this one left me utterly thrilled! It's HERE. In our household we generally skip the Easter chocolate but still love a little present exchange, so I'm scooping up a second one for my niece Sophie, who I know will fall head over heels for it!
