Ever since describing her soon-to-be family member as "wonderful" from the very beginning, the Hollywood performer and pregnant royal-to-be clearly share a deep connection—one that was on full display on Wednesday when the pair sat next to each other to talk about the Royal Foundation and the initiatives they plan to pursue through it. Even though Markle has not formally joined the monarchy, the California-born advocate seems perfectly attuned to the woman who has already lived through all the experiences awaiting the former Suits actress.
From a style standpoint, they both gravitated toward the same color palette. "The two ladies both looked stunning in blue tones, clearly a planned look, and appeared completely comfortable with one another as they stepped onto the stage together for the very first time," Amanda Dishaw, editor of Meghan's Mirror, shared with E! News.
Middleton chose a royal blue peplum maternity gown from Seraphine, whereas Markle wore a deeper navy sleeveless wrap dress with a belt by Jason Wu—a noticeable change from the blouse-and-trouser pairings she has favored at recent royal engagements. "A number of our followers initially feared we might not catch a glimpse of Meghan in a dress before the wedding given her recent habit of opting for pants at royal occasions, but she proved today that variety is her thing, stepping out in a timeless yet elegant satin Jason Wu number," Dishaw remarked.
Their growing connection also showed through their nonverbal cues. "The way they engaged with each other and the genuine smiles they exchanged made it clear to every viewer that they're in this partnership together," Ross noted. "Each of these women occupies an extraordinarily demanding position, thrust into an intense public glare. You could sense from the small smiles, gentle nods, and knowing looks they gave one another that they are companions bonded by their extraordinary circumstances as 'Windsor Wives.' Both women discussed how the Fab Four are collaborating to drive change, and it's evident that Meghan and Kate are destined for a long, joyful future as sisters-in-law and close companions."

"She could not have appeared more polished, yet she is reshaping our expectations of what a royal woman should wear."
"She's a natural! I also really appreciated how she articulated her deep commitment to empowering women and girls, which we can certainly anticipate her advocating for in her upcoming role—something truly thrilling for us to witness unfold."
