Though Meghan Markle won't officially join the royal family until May, she has already begun carrying out royal engagements and public visits. On this occasion, Meghan and Prince Harry dropped by Reprezent FM, a youth radio station situated in Pop Brixton, and she embodied true Londoner fashion by opting for Marks & Spencer.
Although the bride-to-be looked breathtaking in a £56,000 gown during her engagement photo session, today she deliberately went for a high-low combination: black wide-leg Burberry trousers teamed with a £45 knit. This round-neck jumper with bell sleeves, priced at £45 from the Autograph collection, had already proven its popularity when Holly Willoughby wore the matching red skirt back in December, causing it to sell out almost instantly. Meghan's black version remains (at the time of writing) fully stocked in every size.
The Duchess of Cambridge is renowned for using her wardrobe to champion British high-street brands, and Meghan appears to be taking a similar approach, having accessorised with a Jigsaw scarf alongside an overcoat from the Canadian label Smythe.
