by Wayne Dyer; Body Mind Soul Spirit
Pay close attention to those sluggish energetic patterns that stand in the way of expanding your vibrational awareness. These are the roadblocks worth watching for so you can actively shift them. Keep in mind that the frequencies tied to soul or spirit awareness move at the swiftest pace — surrender, affection, a bond with the infinite, peaceful stillness, open-handedness, appreciation, a feeling of belonging rather than isolation, and an underlying sense of lightness.
Those represent my own framing, though they branch out into countless qualities like trust, optimism, endurance, compassion, gentleness, pardoning, and allowing space for others. It is this quicker-moving energy you want to welcome into the doorway of your existence, letting it flood every corner until no room remains for the heavier vibrations that once cluttered your life with difficulties. The slower-moving frequencies are the real obstacles. They fade the moment you invite the vibrational realm of spirit into their midst.
To dissolve these heavy, slow-moving blockages, recognize them as part of an energy field you've grown comfortable with — one that will initially cling to staying put. By steadily reminding yourself that you aren't battling these diminished frequencies, they'll yield to the presence of love.
Clearing energetic obstacles comes down to crowding out their space with swifter, higher vibrations until those heavier energies have nowhere left to settle. Eventually they vacate your life because the room simply runs out. I've always treasured how a celebrated nineteenth-century Indian sage answered his followers when they wondered how to shed their denser energies. "In the springtime," Vivekananda said, "observe the blossoms on the fruit trees. The blossoms vanish of themselves as the fruit grows. So too will the lower self vanish as the divine grows within you.
The apples never wage war against the blossoms occupying their spot on the tree's limbs. There's no fury, no terror, no clash between the fruit and its blooms. As the fruit develops, the blossoms simply fade. The same holds true as you fill life's rooms with the magnificent seven highest-vibrating energies of spirit. As the Native Americans would say, "No tree has branches so foolish as to fight among themselves.
The blockages of the lesser self have no alternative but to exit. Whatever vanishes once spirit steps in to take its place was never genuine to start with. When something can dissolve into nothing, you realize it lacked true substance. So, as Saint Teresa of Avila counsels, "Let nothing disturb thee; Let nothing dismay thee; All things pass; God never changes He who has God Finds he lacks nothing; God alone suffices." The most striking revelation in Saint Teresa's words is, "All things pass; God never changes.
Every element of this tangible, physical realm is forever shifting and will eventually fade. Yet there also exists the realm of the unchanging — what we call God — and it is this constant spirit that will reshape whatever you label as trouble. They dissolve when you bring the infinite, unchanging presence to meet them. As Saint Teresa wisely concluded, "God alone suffices.
It brings peace to recognize that you don't need to brace yourself for a massive showdown when preparing to evict life's troubles. You're simply introducing something that vibrates a bit faster than what you've grown used to. That quicker energy will gently and confidently start replacing the slower, denser energy that had settled in.
These diminished vibrational states living in your body are behind any difficulties blocking your path to complete wellness. By clearing out these incompatible energies and swapping them for quicker, more spiritual frequencies aligned with peak physical vitality, you can dissolve the illusions of sickness, unease, exhaustion, tension, and similar complaints. Additionally, by channeling the swifter vibrations of spirit toward these deceptive mental struggles, you exchange entrenched lower energies for elevated spiritual ones.
Simply identify the lower-frequency vibrations and remain watchful for methods of applying spiritual remedies to eliminate them. The lineup of qualities producing imaginary problems runs the gamut: dread, anxiety, remorse, pride, rage, resentment, covetousness, slander, two-facedness, contempt, disgrace, envy, and selfishness. Countless books explore these low-vibration states and the damaging influence they can wield over your life. Some of those books happen to be mine, so I'll spare the lengthy explanation. I trust you already understand how these sluggish mental frequencies operate. You sense when they're around and recognize how you feel when you let them into your day.
At this stage, I simply want you to grasp that they don't merely disrupt your joy and sense of purpose as a human being, but can also be understood as lower energies you hold the power to dismiss. How? By tapping into a swifter, higher energy blueprint that I'm calling a spiritual remedy.
