European fans can celebrate—their beloved pop star Madonna has now moved much closer to them!
This is all because the singer bought an ancient palace earlier this year in the resort town of Sintra, just outside Lisbon, Portugal.
The property, named Quinta do Relógio, spans 1,500 square meters. The mansion features four floors, seven bedrooms, three living rooms, and five bathrooms, with windows offering stunning views of Sintra's main landmarks. Outside, an old garden filled with diverse plants and trees, a lake, fountains, and a swimming pool complete the estate.
Madonna has settled into this historic home with her four younger children: six-year-old twins Esther and Stela, twelve-year-old son David, and twelve-year-old daughter Marcy.
You might assume the singer relocated to Portugal purely for the magnificent palace, but that's far from the whole story!
The real reason is that her son David is an active football player, currently training with Benfica's junior squad in Lisbon. To be close to her child, Madonna decided to buy a property in the area.
The move was first reported in September 2017. At that time, the pop star explained: “This is my experiment. I want to go as deep as possible into a new local culture that seems to me phenomenal!”
Yet rumors suggest the singer settled in Lisbon for more than just her son. It is whispered that her new boyfriend—31-year-old Portuguese model Kevin Sampaio—also lives there.
Whatever the motivation, fans are thrilled about this new chapter in Madonna's life.
