It still feels surreal that I can finally share every single piece of my collection with you all!
Before anything else, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible enthusiasm and encouragement you've shown. The messages and feedback have left me absolutely overwhelmed.
Now, here's the announcement I've been waiting to make… I'm launching my debut collection in collaboration with J.O.A — a label I've admired for what feels like forever — and every single item will (enter drumroll) be offered SOLELY through select Nordstrom locations as well as nordstrom.com!
There it is! The secret is finally out. My very own complete collection? And to top it off, having it stocked at one of the world's largest retailers??? Somebody pinch me! This genuinely feels like a fantasy made real, and none of it would have been possible without YOU. I poured my heart into designing this line with all of you in mind. From comfort and practicality to styling flexibility, ease of movement, and even affordability — every detail was considered.
So many of you have stood by me throughout the years. A lot of you have been with me since I was just starting out — fresh out of college in my early twenties! While I often share advice on closet essentials and styling tricks, secretly, I've always fantasized about creating my very own line… about giving my supporters a tangible piece of my world in their wardrobe! I honestly never imagined this moment would arrive (please forgive my overwhelming joy)!
As you all know, I'm a huge admirer of luxury labels. However, when it comes to clothing and parting with my own hard-earned money, I always consider these two key factors:
- What's the craftsmanship like?
- How much does it cost?
That said, I stumbled upon J.O.A quite naturally during one of my usual online shopping sprees years ago, and I've remained a devoted fan ever since! (You may have spotted some of their pieces in earlier outfits and blog posts!)
Given my familiarity with J.O.A and my confidence in both their craftsmanship and accessible pricing, they seemed like the obvious partner for my first line. I was deeply hands-on from start to finish… from initial sketches to prototypes and even fit sessions. I was literally hopping on planes to try on samples, then juggling endless conference calls and Skype sessions while abroad… looking back, the past year-plus has been an absolute blur.
THEN came a particular unforgettable moment…we received word that NORDSTROM adored the collection so much they wanted exclusive rights to it. When I heard the news, I was in actual tears… I couldn't process it! I grew up shopping at Nordstrom, so to have my debut line carried in nearly every Nordstrom location? I'm at a loss for words. Some of you may recall my Seattle trip a while back… and yes, that was for meetings with the development team at Nordstrom headquarters! We walked into a conference room filled with 30 influential women at Nordstrom, and I felt a mix of nerves and pure exhilaration. That's when it truly sank in that this was becoming a reality.
I'm beyond thrilled to finally reveal my debut collection to you. A bit of context: it draws inspiration from my travels to Rome last year. The city's rustic charm, paired with its earthy yet lively palette, truly captivated me. Roman golds, faded rust-tinged pinks, sage greens, and warm creams… expect to see these tones woven throughout the line. Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn is among my all-time favorite films, and there's a particular gold dress that instantly transports me to a scene from it! I also own a timeless white suit — something I believe belongs in every woman's wardrobe — and it traces back to my fascination with Bianca Jagger and her legendary white suits. As you can see, I drew inspiration from everywhere — style icons, beloved cities…. and from you guys…the contemporary woman. Today's woman juggles countless responsibilities, and her closet must keep up with her hectic life! When I set out to design this collection, I knew it needed to authentically represent who I am. At my core, I'm a feminine person with a hint of androgyny. I enjoy feeling glamorous without going overboard… I prefer looking refined over being flawless. I'm drawn to coordinated sets, effortless slip-on dresses, versatile tops, and clothing that seamlessly transitions from daytime to evening. Like you, my schedule is packed… and I aimed to create pieces that work just as well for a business meeting, a brunch with friends, or a school pickup. It's crafted for the woman who handles everything and excels at all of it. Sometimes, that single piece that instantly elevates your look and mood is all you need!
