Pretty much everyone recognizes that fathers share an extra-special connection with their tiny daughters. Ukrainian painter Snezhana Soosh has put together a collection of watercolor paintings that capture the wonder and tenderness of this connection.
Much of Snezhana's artwork features remarkable intricacy, drawing attention to the everyday moments shared between dads and their girls from a fresh perspective. The painter encourages observers to focus on the hidden meaning within each piece and the feelings it stirs. "I always longed for a warm and affectionate bond with my dad, but he struggled to express his feelings, so he frequently came across as remote and emotionally unavailable," Soosh shared with The Huffington Post. "I painted what I missed and deeply craved — to feel cherished and safeguarded by my big papa."
She primarily works with gentle, muted earth tones, with children, raising kids, and family connection serving as the central focus of her artwork.
