Did the Court Dismiss Jasmine Washington’s Paternity Case Against Kirk Frost?

Almost twelve months have passed since Jasmine Washington came forward alleging Kirk Frost fathered her child.

Did the Court Dismiss Jasmine Washington’s Paternity Case Against Kirk Frost?

Nearly a year has gone by since Jasmine Washington stepped into the spotlight insisting that Kirk Frost is the father of her child. Yet, even after dragging the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta personality into a courtroom battle, the real story remains buried. As it turns out, Jasmine's legal filing might have been completely scrapped.

According to an exclusive from Bossip, Georgia family court Judge Debra Turner dismissed Jasmine's paternity action against Kirk because of a procedural misstep.

Jasmine launched her suit against Kirk at the start of summer, demanding that he submit to DNA testing and cover child support. Judge Turner handed her a fourteen-day window to deliver the legal paperwork to Kirk, but Jasmine and her lawyer Tony Mathis insisted the process had hit a wall. Mathis even floated the idea of obtaining a warrant just to get the documents into Kirk's hands.

Eventually, Jasmine managed to get the papers to Kirk—only she blew well past Turner's two-week window, wrapping things up roughly two months after the deadline. Judge Turner allegedly chose to toss the entire case, meaning Jasmine's complaint may never see the inside of a courtroom.

Still, Tony Mathis, the attorney representing Jasmine, pushed back on Bossip's reporting when he spoke with Hollywood Life. "Nothing has happened…. it is not true what BOSSIP is reporting," he stated to the outlet.

Back in August, GoT noted that the paternity matter had been dropped after both Jasmine and Kirk were no-shows in court for the reading of the DNA test results Kirk had been legally required to complete. Rumors swirled that the two had quietly worked out a private agreement outside the judicial system.

At this stage, the saga between these two has become almost impossible to track. Sadly, I'm convinced this storyline will play out again when the new season of LHHATL airs—filming on the show was recently forced to pause after a hit-and-run accident on set.

Season 7 of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta is slated to debut sometime in 2018 on VH1.
