Using berries, fruits, vegetables, greens, coffee beans, toast, and omelets, Daryna Kossar—a designer and photographer from Kyiv—creates vivid, lively, and mouthwatering paintings, celebrity portraits, and even logos of well-known brands. A plate or a slice of bread often serves as the canvas, while fruits, berries, jams, and oil act as the paint.
What started as a hobby quickly gained traction. The talented food photographer delighted her Instagram and YouTube followers with edible works of art. Soon after, she received a commercial offer from a US company that handles PR for musicians. Daryna Kossar was asked to create a portrait of singer Katy Perry using white and dark chocolate along with fruit, intended to promote a new album.
