Donald Glover is busier than ever. The multi-talented artist is gearing up to perform as Childish Gambino at the Grammys on January 28, alongside acting roles in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story and The Lion King. Adding to the excitement, the second season of Atlanta—titled Atlanta Robbin’ Season—premieres on FX on March 1.
Discussing the new season, Donald's brother and show writer Stephen Glover told Billboard, “Our characters are going through insane, desperate transitions so Robbin’ Season is kind of a metaphor for all of our characters.” Donald Glover added, “We didn’t look back at season one for inspiration as much because I feel like if you do that as any sort of producer, you tend to be risk-averse, which I really think is bad for art. We didn’t look back and think, ‘What are the things that will make people happy?’ We really just tried to beat ourselves and always just kept trying to do something that was different from the first season.”
While Glover’s professional life is thriving, he shared a major personal update yesterday, Friday 5. He revealed to ET that he and his girlfriend Michelle have welcomed their second child. “She’s great. She’s good. Baby’s born, so she’s happier now,” Glover said.
Having his first son, Legend, in 2016 didn’t slow Glover down, and it appears 2018 will be another eventful year.
