As a belated holiday surprise for their audience, JAUZ and Zeds Dead have unleashed a new collaborative track that serves as ideal ammunition for bass music enthusiasts ringing in the New Year. Last week, they built considerable anticipation by previewing the song and revealing dates for three back-to-back performances spanning the nation. This move capped off a series of significant milestones for both acts, including Zeds Dead's announcement of Dead Rocks V—a two-night event at Red Rocks promoted by TSIS—and JAUZ's release of a compilation album on his freshly launched imprint, “Bite This.”
The full track “Lights Go Down” fuses the strongest elements of each artist's craft, blending drum & bass, dubstep, and their distinctive sonic signatures. An unsettling, atmospheric intro gradually escalates into a rapid-fire drop, achieved by layering high-energy vocals with a crisp, rolling drum pattern that detonates into a deep, bass-driven climax. This pounding sound resurfaces twice during the song, featuring subtle variations that maintain its freshness.
Listen to the single below and make sure to catch JAUZ and Zeds Dead on their New Year's Weekend tour, sharing the stage with other exceptional acts like Deadmau5, Diplo, Flux Pavilion, Zedd, and ZHU. Enjoy!
