Understanding Facial Massage Lines: Their Purpose and Direction | Complete Guide

Facial massage lines: what is it

Facial massage lines refer to the specific directions you should follow when applying skincare products or performing facial massage to prevent wrinkles. These lines are designed to minimize skin stretching. When carrying out home care routines, it is crucial for women to adhere to the correct technique for applying each product. Whether you are putting on a mask, cream, serum, or wiping your face with lotion, certain guidelines must always be observed. By following these rules and techniques, your skin will maintain its elasticity and firmness.

Where are the facial massage lines

If you examine the face from the perspective of massage lines, each area has its own. We start from the bottom and move upward. On the neck, begin massage from the central part moving upward, while on the sides, go from top to bottom. Next is the chin: move from the center toward the cheekbones. Then the cheeks: glide your fingers from the corners of the lips to the middle of the ear. After that, the forehead: work from the center toward the temples. The nose area follows: start along the bridge of the nose from bottom to top, then from the bridge toward the cheeks. Finally, the eye area: move in a circle, starting at the inner corner, along the upper eyelid, outer corner, and ending at the lower eyelid.

Memorizing these lines is not difficult. Use the picture below or save the diagram on your smartphone as a quick reference. Just repeat a few times, and you will become an expert!

A little about the important

Remember, you should never press hard along the massage lines or use rubbing motions on your face, as this will inevitably lead to wrinkles. Your movements must be smooth and gliding. Perform self-massage using your ring and middle fingers, and around the eye area, use only the ring finger.
