I've been putting out plenty of Christmas makeup round-ups as of late, and the streak continues because I just had to talk you through a few of my glitter staples that I love breaking out this time of year. There's a real magic to all things shimmery and sparkly in December that gets me in the spirit, and the bonus is how gorgeous it looks when worn! These are my must-haves:
When I want a touch of glow in my makeup routine, highlighters are always my first port of call, and the Sleek Solstice Palette remains a firm favourite of mine. It can deliver an intense, eye-catching highlight on demand, but it also sheers out beautifully — which makes it a brilliant option for party season! The Fenty Beauty Killawatt and Too Faced Blinded By The Light are two go-to choices I reach for when I'm after a soft, luminous finish that brightens up my skin in just a couple of sweeps. I'm also a big fan of a bit of sparkle on the eyes, particularly in the inner corner. The Nars Rigel Eyeshadow is ideal for that exact purpose — it makes the eyes really stand out and melts effortlessly into surrounding shades. After something with a coppery vibe? I'd point you towards the Colourpop Muse Eyeshadow, which works beautifully swept across the entire lid or worked into a smoky eye. And if you're brave enough to try a metallic lip, you absolutely need to look at the Jouer Long Wear Lip Crème's* — they come in an array of colours and layer nicely over your favourite lipsticks. Praline is especially stunning and can be dabbed onto the centre of the lips for a plumper-looking finish.
