After seven seasons of Game of Thrones dominating television, devoted viewers no longer have to merely watch the series — they can inhabit it.
Tucked away in Finnish Lapland, the Lapland Hotels SnowVillage partnered with HBO Nordic to construct a fully ice-and-snow accommodation inspired by the hit show. As reported by Condé Nast Traveler, a team of expert ice carvers from Russia, Ukraine, Poland, and Latvia spent just one month bringing the themed suites to life.
Each space incorporates recognizable elements from the series, such as the Hall of Faces from Braavos, a towering Ice Throne flanked by a figure resembling Ser Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane, and even a dragon-form ice slide for adventurous guests.
The property features 24 guest rooms in total, 10 of which are premium suites, and every wall is sculpted from ice with bespoke carvings. Visitors can drift off beneath the icy gaze of a White Walker or beneath the direwolf crest synonymous with House Stark.
Though the experience sounds tailor-made for GoT enthusiasts, packing thermal layers is wise — interior temperatures hover around 23 degrees Fahrenheit, per the publication.
General admission to the village costs $18, while overnight stays begin at $200. Beyond the themed lodging, the complex houses a cinema, a dining hall carved from ice, and an arctic-themed bar.
Guests can book their frozen fantasy through April 8 — because, as the saying goes, summer is coming — eventually.
