Delicate Pumpkin Flan With Goat Cheese: A Unique Side Dish

This creamy pumpkin flan paired with goat cheese makes a wonderful substitute for a typical meat side dish. The surprising flavor combinations will delight your palate with their taste and fragrance.

Components:

  • pumpkin (flesh) – 400 grams
  • sour cream – 55 grams
  • goat cheese – 135 grams
  • potato starch – 30 grams
  • chicken eggs – 4 pieces
  • cardamom to taste
  • nutmeg – to taste
  • salt, pepper – to taste.

Preparation:

  1. Dice the pumpkin flesh into cubes, place in a steamer, and cook for roughly 30 to 35 minutes.
  2. Transfer the steamed pumpkin to a blender, then incorporate sour cream, starch, and eggs.
  3. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, cardamom, and nutmeg. Stir thoroughly.
  5. Pour the prepared mixture into a small baking dish.
  6. Arrange slices of goat cheese over the top.
  7. Set the flan dish inside a larger baking pan that is halfway filled with hot water.
  8. Bake the flan in an oven preheated to 180°C for approximately one hour.
