This year's Golden Globes ceremony was marked by a sea of black, a strong #MeToo presence, and a clear TimesUp message. The women have had enough, and they made their stance unmistakably clear tonight.
Oprah, honored with the Cecil B. DeMille award, delivered an inspiring speech championing female strength, reclaiming the truth, and finally having their voices heard.
Natalie Portman pointedly called out the “all-male nominees” in the best director category.
And every single woman wore black, standing in unity with their fellow women who bravely stepped forward to expose their harassers and hold accountable those who have misused their authority in the most unacceptable ways.
