The Kardashian-Jenner family has a knack for overshadowing Super Bowl Sunday, but this time the reason is pure happiness. Kylie Jenner herself revealed that she has welcomed a baby daughter.
“On February 1st, my gorgeous and healthy daughter came into the world, and I was too excited to keep this gift a secret. I’ve never experienced such overwhelming love and joy – I feel like I’m about to explode!”
The 20-year-old delivered her baby on Thursday, February 1, at 4:43 PM at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The newborn weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces. This marks the first child for Kylie and her rapper boyfriend Travis Scott. According to E! News, the pair still hasn't chosen a name for their little girl.
A insider also shared with the outlet that Scott, 25, is beaming with pride and has been introducing the baby to his friends. “He looks incredibly joyful and keeps stroking her head while whispering, ‘Daddy’s here. Daddy’s here.’”
Kylie also uploaded an 11-minute video called 'To Our Daughter' on her YouTube channel. The footage captures her pregnancy journey, intimate moments, the baby shower, and her daughter's first cry.
Although media outlets widely speculated that she was pregnant, Kylie never officially acknowledged it and stepped away from the public eye and social media over the past several months. Her well-known relatives and friends honored her request by keeping the news under wraps.
In a message to her followers on February 4, Kylie clarified her reasons for keeping the pregnancy out of the public spotlight.
“Being pregnant was the most stunning, empowering, and transformative experience of my whole life, and I’ll genuinely miss it,” she continued. Kylie delivered her baby only three weeks after her older sister Kim Kardashian gave birth to her third child, Chicago West, with husband Kanye West through a surrogate.
Kylie and Scott started their relationship in April 2017. While they are frequently spotted together in public showing lots of affection, they rarely talk about their romance openly.
