Using Google as his guide, photographer Jonas Bendixen tracked down five individuals scattered across Zambia, Brazil, Russia, Japan, and South Africa. Each one claims to be the Messiah, divinely chosen by God. They establish schools, build communities, and preach their beliefs, persuading students and devoted followers that salvation rests solely in their hands.
