Nikola Tesla stands among the most brilliant intellects humanity has ever produced. Though strangely omitted from standard textbooks, his lifetime achievements were immense: he invented radio and remote control—the foundation of NASA's modern technology—pioneered drone technology, detected cosmic radio waves, and much more. He also championed the concept of free, limitless energy for all.
In May 1898, at the Electrical Exposition held at Madison Square Garden, Tesla unveiled his initial functional radio-controlled robot to a stunned audience. The event made front-page headlines across America. This demonstration marked the first instance of radio waves directing a robot's movements—a full eleven years before Marconi received the Nobel Prize in 1909 for discovering radio.
In modern scientific circles, few recall that many early physicists and chemists were mystics. Tesla was no exception; his vision of free energy drew heavily from Vedic philosophy. It is a regrettable truth that even a mind as extraordinary as Tesla's would be dismissed as a pseudoscientist by mainstream researchers if he were active today.
Tesla's interests extended beyond wireless communication and energy. He firmly believed humanity is not alone in the cosmos—a conclusion now widely accepted, even among mainstream scientists. A recent U.S. congressional hearing featured top astronomers telling Congress unequivocally that extraterrestrial life exists. Moreover, numerous scientists, military officials, and political figures have stated that we are not alone and that intelligent alien life has been visiting Earth for an extended period.
At age 75, Tesla gave an interview to Time magazine in which he shared these thoughts: Few are aware that in 1899, while working at his Colorado Springs laboratory, he announced he had received extraterrestrial radio signals. The scientific community considered him insane, and at that time, cosmic radio signals were not even known to exist. One can easily imagine how isolated and misunderstood Tesla must have felt.
The object referred to as the 'Black Knight Satellite'
Although scientists did not confirm its existence until 1932, Tesla first detected it in 1899 at his Colorado Springs lab, picking up peculiar rhythmic sounds on his radio receiver. The 1932 confirmation gave birth to the field of radio astronomy, now used to decode and identify messages from distant stars and other mysterious celestial bodies. Tesla wrote:
Tesla thought the signals originated from Mars. He provided another statement about his discovery:
Per the American Physical Society Physics, Tesla determined that these signals—or the peculiar, unnatural object from which they emanated—were indeed extraterrestrial in nature, representing an attempt by alien beings to communicate with Earth.
This was one of several occasions where Tesla intercepted what he believed to be intelligent signals from space. He stated that even the simplest form of communication, such as exchanging numbers, could constitute an intelligible transmission from extraterrestrials.
Upon discovering this information, I immediately recalled an NSA document that exemplifies strange messages received from space, as detailed further below.
Today, we are certain that these signals originate from beyond Earth, but they are typically attributed to radio waves from planets, comets, stars, or galaxies—not to extraterrestrial intelligence.
Over three decades after the 1932 confirmation, a graduate student named Jocelyn Bell detected peculiar data from her telescope at the Mullard Radio Astronomy Observatory (MRAO). After several weeks, she realized the signal could not have come from any known natural source. She and her team eliminated every possible explanation, including multiple sources of human interference, other radio astronomers, radar reflections from the Moon, orbiting satellites, television signals, and more. Nothing accounted for these mysterious signals.
She ultimately published a paper in the scientific journal Nature, even though the source of the sound—known to be artificial—remained unidentified.
These announcements stirred considerable excitement at the time. Today, it is routine to detect strange signals determined to come from 'non-natural' sources. But their true origin remains unknown.
Just last year, mysterious bursts of radio waves from far beyond our Milky Way galaxy (or possibly within it) left scientists utterly baffled; you can read more about that here.
I want to emphasize that such phenomena are constantly occurring.
