London's wide array of animal cafés is a major highlight of living in the capital. While cat cafés often steal the spotlight, we've always had a soft spot for those featuring dogs. That's why we're thrilled to hear that London is about to host its own dedicated Dachshund Café!
Yes, if you enjoy your flat white accompanied by a side of sausage dog, pay attention! A temporary Dachshund Café will pop up at The Happenstance, located in Paternoster Square, for a single day on Sunday, 19th August. Organized by the team behind Pug Café, this event is designed for both dachshund owners and those who simply adore the breed.
If you're fortunate enough to own a dachshund, bring your furry friend along to the event, and they'll receive a complimentary 'pupuccino' and a bag of 'pupcorn'.
Additionally, a variety of other canine-friendly treats will be available, such as 'pupcakes' and 'dognuts', which can be enjoyed with a refreshing glass of 'pawsecco'. For the human attendees, alcoholic beverages—including cocktails, champagne, and some tasty food—will also be on offer.
Tickets for the Dachshund Café will go on sale on 28th July at 10am, priced at £15 for non-dog owners and £10 for dog parents. This grants you a 70-minute session, and naturally, all dachshunds enter for free! For more information, visit the Pug Café Website.
As you might have guessed, we're big fans of novelty cafés. Last year, The Tea Terrace in London introduced 'selfieccinos'—selfies printed on the foam of customers' cappuccinos!
