Having spent the previous two summer months between Los Angeles and Sicily, I've finally come back to my hometown Milan, arriving right before Fashion Week. I always set aside a few days for myself prior to the start of Milan Fashion Week appointments, so I chose to wander through the city center—zero traffic and a stunning sunset as my backdrop. I explored my favorite alleyways: sipped a green tea at Lùbar (Via Palestro, 16), purchased a flower bouquet from Frida’s (C.so Garibaldi, 18) to brighten my new home, and concluded my walk by browsing some boutiques (a little shopping never hurts!). The outfit I picked for the day featured a floral-print mini dress—ideal for transitional weather—paired with a set of Voile Blanche shoes. Sneakers tend to be sporty, but for this occasion I opted for leather, which adds a glamorous flair to the ensemble. They're incredibly comfortable yet stylish (I'm currently obsessed with platform versions): this combination is the perfect recipe for staying fashionable during a non-stop shopping afternoon.
Following two months split between LA and Sicily, I've returned to Milan just in time for Fashion Week. I always carve out a few days for myself prior to the whirlwind of MFW appointments, so I decided to spend a couple of hours strolling through the city to soak it all in—no traffic whatsoever and a magical sunset ahead. I wandered through my preferred streets: enjoyed a green tea at Lùbar (Via Palestro, 16), picked up a flower bouquet at Frida’s (C.so Garibaldi, 18) to add some color to my new apartment, and finished my outing by peeking into some shops (shopping is always a smart move). My outfit for the day featured a lovely transitional floral dress paired with a fresh set of Voile Blanche sneakers—sneakers are typically athletic, but for this look I selected leather to inject a glamorous element. They're extremely comfortable and equally trendy (I'm currently experiencing a platform obsession): the ideal blend for looking fashionable while walking endlessly from store to store.
