Best Lipglosses
As 2017 draws to a close, it’s time to look back on the products I’ve tested over the past year and highlight my top picks. Finally! In 2017, the beauty world moved beyond just matte finishes, with a surge of glossy releases. It was refreshing to see many pigmented formulas alongside the classic sheer and shimmery options. Below is the initial list of shades I considered, which I narrowed down to the 32 detailed in this post. I personally prefer glosses with more pigment, especially if they lack shimmer; if they’re sheer, I want plenty of sparkle!
While not as opaque as advertised, MAC’s Grand Illusion Liquid Lipcolours were delightful for layering, catching and reflecting light beautifully. I was thrilled to see Bite expand their Creme Lip Gloss shade range, and Huda Beauty’s Lip Strobes offered a well-balanced collection of shimmery glosses, spanning from sheer to nearly full coverage.
