Top Lunch Destinations in Los Angeles … After recently sharing my favorite restaurants in Tulum, I realized it’s been a while since I highlighted the incredible dining scene in Los Angeles. We truly have so many amazing options. Whether you’re a local or planning a trip, here are my go-to lunch and brunch spots in LA:
Cafe Flora – A charming cafe ideal for a light, quick bite while shopping at the newly opened Mansur Gavriel on Melrose Place. They offer plenty of healthy choices—I particularly enjoyed their carrot salad, which is light, simple, and flavorful. My husband tried the avocado toast and scones, both of which were equally delicious. While Alfred’s Coffee is nearby, my iced almond milk latte from Cafe Flora was among the best I’ve had recently.
Catch LA – Although I love Catch for dinner, brunch is my preferred meal here. On my last visit, I sampled the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, and I can confidently say they were the best pancakes I’ve ever tasted—fluffy inside with a slight crispness, truly pancake perfection. Beyond the food, the decor is stunning, offering great photo opportunities.
Alfred’s Tea – Not strictly a lunch or brunch spot, but I couldn’t leave it out of this post. I adore their tea and pastry selection, and it’s a perfect stop for a quick takeaway if you’re in a hurry. Their boba milk teas are a delightful treat—the matcha version is my absolute favorite.
Cafe Gratitude – This has been a long-time favorite. Everything on the menu is vegan yet incredibly tasty. I love their pizzas, which aren’t listed on the regular menu, so be sure to ask about the daily special (my favorites are Hawaiian and Mexican, but all are delicious). Their salads and bowls are excellent for lighter options—I recommend the Mucho bowl. The desserts are outstanding; you’d never guess they’re vegan! Grab their tiramisu to-go if you’re too full—it’s amazing.
Le Pain Quotidien – What I love most is the numerous locations across LA, so there’s always one nearby. I particularly enjoy their tartines and egg dishes. The menu is versatile, offering both healthy choices and indulgent options (I’m obsessed with their mini pancakes and French toast). Their coffee is fantastic, especially their lattes, both hot and iced.
Ivory on Sunset – My favorite spot for brunch with a stunning view of LA. Located inside the Mondrian Hotel on Sunset Blvd, it’s the perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends—soaking up the sun while enjoying a meal. Their croissants are wonderfully flaky, so I highly recommend them. On my last visit, I tried the Farro bowl and French toast, both of which were delightful.
What are your favorite lunch or brunch spots? I’m always on the lookout for great food!
