You might have caught wind that Cadbury has been hinting at white chocolate versions of the Creme Egg. That's right—Creme Eggs filled with fondant but made with WHITE CHOCOLATE instead of the usual milk chocolate. Around 371 of these special eggs have been secretly placed in shops across the UK. If you find one, you could win a prize worth up to £2,000, plus the ultimate trophy egg.
But there may be a simpler way to get your hands on a white chocolate Creme Egg. Cadbury is celebrating 'Creme Egg Hunting Season' by opening its very first Creme Egg Camp pop-up on Old Street in London. This camp takes over the much-loved Café that Cadbury set up in 2016, and it will still serve a variety of egg-inspired snacks.
Four 'dishes' are available: a Creme Egg cookie, a Creme Egg cake, a Creme Egg toastie (basically melted Creme Egg in a toasted sandwich), and a Creme Egg 'fongoo'—exactly what you imagine: a hot melted Creme Egg served with breadsticks or fruit for dipping.
As you wander through the woodland of the Creme Egg Camp, you'll follow the sound of a crackling campfire and discover Eggsplorers' HQ, a giant nest that holds 'the biggest Creme Eggs you've ever seen!' There's also a tree house to climb, a slide to zoom down, and Cadbury promises that white chocolate eggs are hidden on-site.
The Cadbury Creme Egg Camp opens Friday, January 19th, and runs until Sunday, February 18th, at the Last Days of Shoreditch, 288 Old Street, EC1V 9LA. Entry costs £5, but 100% of the proceeds go to The Prince's Trust, and you'll receive one free treat from the menu as well! Head over to the Creme Egg Camp Eventbrite page to book tickets.
