Hey everyone! Earlier this week, I shared my DIY spring clipboard art [HERE], and I absolutely adore how that project came together! It really made this dining room corner stand out and rekindled my love for our large chalkboard. In that post, I mentioned I'd come back later this week to talk about the shelf beneath the clipboards—so here I am! I'd describe our farmhouse style as cottage greenhouse, and this little corner got a full cottage greenhouse makeover over the past week. I wanted to share more details with you today on the blog…
I've had this antique rolling rack for quite a while, and it's always fun to style in this space. I usually keep extra dishes and other dining room goodies that I'm currently loving on it. This week, I added a few garden-themed items: antique green garden tools, vintage green drawers, some of my vintage green book collection, and antique seed packets I picked up at a recent flea market. I also grabbed some adorable seed starter kits from Target—the packaging is so cute, it gets me every time! I haven't started the seeds yet, but they look lovely on the shelf for now. At the bottom, I added some antique seltzer bottles that I enjoy styling in many areas of our home. Other items include antique scales, stoneware, and more charming pieces. These shelves are full of texture, and this corner feels so happy because of it! Basically, the shelves hold all my usual items, but I added lovely pops of green that really bring my cottage greenhouse decor dreams to life.
Yesterday, I shared our new dining room windows [HERE] on the other side of the room, which also bring in a pop of green to complement this cottage greenhouse bookshelf. Have you noticed my recent love for green around the house? Maybe it's because it's been so cold here, or perhaps it's just a phase—but it's giving me life, and I'm loving every second of it! What do you think of our cottage greenhouse dining room shelves? How about the pops of green? I can't wait to hear your thoughts! As always, THANK YOU for stopping by the blog today and every day to see what we're up to. xx
