Kevin Hart acknowledges he has been on Santa's "naughty list" this year, but he is making efforts to become a better person. The comedian reflected on his tumultuous year and confessed to being unfaithful to his wife while she was carrying their child.
While promoting his upcoming movie, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Hart appeared on The Breakfast Club today (Dec. 14). However, the interview was not all humor, as the actor discussed being publicly called out for infidelity involving his wife, Eniko Parrish, when she was eight months pregnant with their first child.
In September, Hart shared an Instagram video revealing he was being blackmailed over "sexually suggestive" videos and photographs with another woman. Rather than paying the ransom, he came forward and issued a public apology to his spouse and family.
Days after disclosing the blackmail attempt, a sex tape featuring a man resembling Hart was leaked online. Twenty-seven-year-old model Montia Sabbagg confirmed she was the woman in the photos and videos with Hart and stated she had no part in the extortion scheme, which the FBI investigated.
Hart told the Breakfast Club hosts that he realized he "messed up" and hoped his wife would forgive him after he confessed his unfaithfulness. He also expressed a desire to set a better example for his son moving forward.
In July, Hart was at the center of another cheating allegation. He was filmed in a car with rising Latin singer Monique "MoMo" Gonzalez while in Miami. Witnesses reported the two were "cuddling" and "engaging in romantic activity" for about 20 minutes. Hart dismissed this rumor with a lighthearted meme.
"Have I been naughty or nice? That's definitely a tough question for Kevin Hart right now—it was a tough year for me," Hart told Extra host Mario Lopez's daughter on the Jumanji premiere red carpet when she asked what he wanted from Santa this year.
Parrish gave birth to the couple's son, Kenzo, in late November. Hopefully, 2018 will bring a much brighter year for the family.
