Stitching Snowflake Designs
Project Overview
The winter season offers a perfect opportunity to celebrate falling snow! This tactile project encourages youngsters to slow their pace and observe the delicate structures inside each snowflake, all while developing fine motor coordination. Before sharing the templates with your child, we advise cutting every sheet down the middle and printing on heavyweight cardstock, or printing on regular paper and covering it with laminate. Following that, take a nail to puncture openings at each blue marker. You might also wish to browse snowflake photographs together, letting your child trace the branching lines. Once everything is prepped, pass the finished sheets to your child along with an embroidery needle already threaded with floss.
Then settle in and enjoy peaceful stitching time with your curious young scientist…
