Isabel Marant’s wedge trainers, which conceal a heel within their rubber sole, became a cult favorite in 2012 and a staple in the wardrobe of every LA it girl. “Sneakers are so comfortable but at the same time it’s not very elegant,” Marant told Fashionista about the design. “To have a little heel in it makes a difference, it gives you legs.” After a few seasons, they lost popularity, but it appears they may be poised for a resurgence in 2018. Currently on vacation in Utah, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has been sharing a series of outfit photos on her Instagram. In one shot, we spotted her wearing a pair of these wedge trainers in black suede.
