A defining quality of Nannacay lies in how completely it captures the essence of a woman who finds joy in beauty and embraces life's understated elegance. The name Nannacay, rooted in the Quechua and Aymara languages, translates to a sisterhood among women.
Beyond operating as a label, Nannacay also functions as a socially driven fashion initiative. Its purpose centers on unlocking human creativity by linking those in need of assistance with those eager to provide it.
Brazilian creative Marcia Kemp drew her strongest motivation from the challenge of demonstrating that beauty emerging from simplicity deserves recognition and can claim its place in the fashion world. Nannacay's signature woven mini bags brought this vision to life, rapidly rising to cult-status popularity.
Every bag is crafted by hand using untreated fibers gathered from artisan groups along Peru's coastline. Nannacay's Resort lineup featured the core pieces, including the Baby Roge Pompom bag and the Corfu tote, both reimagined for the season with the brand's beloved dual-tone pom poms. Fresh additions like the Charlotte tote, covered entirely in pom poms, also entered the assortment.
Fueled by her worldwide journeys, Marcia's lineup showcases items individually hand-woven by a single artisan. This guiding principle echoes throughout Nannacay's Resort edit, where the spotlight falls on artistic craftsmanship that transforms lives.
