The chilly season has finally arrived! We’re kicking it off with a homemade snowy slime recipe that’s bursting with fun!
Alongside this super entertaining slime project, we’ve teamed up with SanDisk to share tips for parents on capturing special moments with their children without any hassle.
Simple Slime Instructions
Can you believe this was our very first attempt at making slime?
I know, I know—we’re way behind on all the trendy activities.
After browsing the store shelves for confetti and glitter to dress up our slime, we settled on silver, blue, and white glitter to create a blizzard-inspired look!
I had no idea slime was this simple to make! With just a handful of ingredients and roughly 10 minutes of effort, we had slime oozing through our fingers!
My daughter is three years old, and I adore doing straightforward projects like this with her at home. I’m aware that before long, she’ll be all grown up and won’t have time for silly afternoons making slime with her mom.
Since time seems to rush by so quickly, I always make an effort to capture these moments in photos so I can revisit them two decades from now. My biggest worry is breaking or misplacing my phone, which holds all these images.
I recently purchased a SanDisk iXpand Base, and it’s been a game-changer. Every evening, I plug my phone into the base to charge, and it automatically backs up all my pictures.
I love using it mainly because it saves me from having to manually back up photos or pay extra for cloud storage. The base also features a removable memory card in the back, so I can print the photos or move them to my computer whenever I want.
It just sits on my nightstand next to my bed, and I use it to charge my phone nightly. So convenient.
Homemade Snowy Slime Recipe
As I noted earlier, this slime was incredibly easy to put together. It’s definitely beginner-friendly.
My daughter is only three, and she helped me pour in the ingredients and everything, so this DIY project is suitable for nearly any age.
Ingredients:
¼ cup liquid starch
2 bottles clear glue
1 bottle white glue
Blue, white, and silver glitter
Foil snowflake confetti (optional)
First, we poured in the clear glues, followed by the white glue. Next, we added our favorite glitter. Then, we mixed in the liquid starch and started stirring the combination.
After stirring and kneading until we achieved the right consistency, we started playing!
My daughter adored it and spent hours playing with it outdoors. When she got tired of using her hands, she mixed it with sticks and rocks from the yard. SO MUCH FUN!
