Frito-Lay, a subsidiary of PepsiCo operating out of Texas, has been exposed for distributing toxic food products to consumers. These products contain genetically modified corn along with glyphosate, the controversial herbicide developed by Monsanto. Both substances have been associated with a wide range of health problems, including kidney failure and hormonal disruptions.
Tests on Frito-Lays Sunchips revealed shocking news
Recent laboratory testing performed on SunChips manufactured by Frito-Lay determined that one hundred percent of the corn used in these chips is genetically modified Bt corn. For those unfamiliar, Bt corn is engineered to produce its own insecticide directly within the plant's cells. This insecticide cannot be removed through washing and falls under EPA regulatory oversight. The reality is that this so-called corn barely qualifies as a food source at all — it's essentially a toxic substance that inflicts serious damage on the human body.
Animal research has demonstrated that consuming Bt corn triggers alterations in blood cell composition and contributes to both kidney and liver dysfunction. Scientists were alarmed to discover that the proteins from this corn, which should normally be processed and broken down during digestion, were instead detected circulating in the bloodstream of test subjects.
On top of that, these SunChips also contain alarmingly elevated concentrations of glyphosate, the primary active component in Monsanto's Roundup weedkiller. As noted above, this chemical has been tied to significant harm to the human endocrine system and is suspected of interfering with kidney function and other vital organs. Glyphosate also disrupts the gut microbiome, the delicate balance of bacteria that helps defend against dangerous pathogens and supports a robust immune response. According to a report released by GMO-Free USA, their DNA testing confirmed that every single kernel of corn used to produce SunChips is genetically modified. The analysis further revealed glyphosate concentrations of 0.14 milligrams per kilogram in the chips.
Frito-Lays SunChips toxic to humans
Perhaps the most disturbing aspect of this entire situation is that these chips are actively promoted to the public as a wholesome snack choice — marketed as whole-grain, low-cholesterol, and low-fat. Nothing could be further from the truth. While they may indeed contain reduced amounts of fat and cholesterol, both of which the body actually requires to function properly, they are absolutely packed with harmful ingredients that undermine human health.
This should hardly come as a revelation once you consider that PepsiCo, Frito-Lay's parent corporation, has poured more than thirteen million dollars into legal battles aimed at blocking mandatory GMO labeling on their products. Both companies incorporate genetically modified ingredients into their offerings and are determined to keep that information hidden from shoppers, fully aware that disclosure would damage their bottom line. A large share of the foods they manufacture is specifically aimed at children, who represent their primary target demographic. Just consider what these toxic substances might be doing to a child's developing body.
Kellogg's Froot Loops cereal is similarly saturated with GMOs and glyphosate. To review the test findings yourself, head over to GMOFreeUSA.org and see the evidence firsthand.
