Actor and musician Jon Steuer — recognized in punk circles by the stage name Jonny P. Jewels — has sadly passed away, according to information obtained by RadarOnline.com. Hailing from Portland, the entertainer was 33 when he died on January 1. No official cause of death has been disclosed at this time.
Steuer built his early reputation as an American performer, most notably portraying Alexander Rozhenko on Star Trek: The Next Generation. He also gained recognition for his role as Quentin Kelly on the ABC sitcom Grace Under Fire.
Originally from California, Steuer stepped away from Hollywood at the age of twelve and relocated to Portland, where he channeled his energy into music. He eventually launched his own eatery in the city.

Reflecting on his childhood career in a 2015 interview with The AV Club, he shared: "Acting was never about chasing fame or the spotlight for me — I genuinely enjoyed the craft. That particular project attracted a huge wave of media scrutiny and public interest in both my work and private life. I was just entering puberty, hitting that really uncomfortable phase. Having every detail of your life examined that closely is a pretty strange experience that most folks simply can't understand."
Jon Steuer will be dearly missed.
